The title of this song comes from a text adventure about Frankenstein that came out for the Amstrad CPC 464 that Bob's older brother used to play.
When we came to record the album version of this song we found a metal music stand that sounded amazing when hit with a drumstick. It sounded massive and amazing in the room, but any way that we tried to record it it just sounded like a spoon hitting a table.
lyrics
I saved all my heartbeats for you
Traced a line through the steps that we took
The silver of coincidence
In the form and the shape of a book
Why did you leave me alone?
Why did you let me go?
Why did we turn into ghosts
And disappear?
Take Me away from here
To the place where you go to forget
Throwing stones into the river
Ripples cut through the light of regret
Why did you leave me alone?
Why did you let me go?
Why did we turn into ghosts
And disappear?
And I search for you in everything I do
But you're not there
Just a promise fallen at your door
A lock of your hair
You try and kiss me as I'm walking away
But it won't work
This love was our last chance
Faded
